Yet another way boyzz njoy!!!

After the laborious morning hours of neck twisting, toe touching, (close to) push ups, and so on…me and my frnds decided we had 2 do something interesting…life was getting all the more mechanical for us and we were thriving for something new…some innovative special element of enjoyment…we imagined all the potential things that we could do…and one word just popped out of all of us concurrently as if each had read each others mind…Cooking…the strangest and the most inappropriate thing tat can be associated with boys just out of the GYM!!! Maybe the continuous burning of fat had evoked in us the idea of food!!! We dint give it a second thought…or to be precise I dint allow them to have a rethought…I always had this lure for cooking and thus it was decided…cooking at sharans place…

I was all geared to go…My “not so big” bag had it all…from my invaluable PS2, the dvd games, all the sanjeev kapoor books tat I could get my hands upon and wat not…Rojesh was as usual late and our itinerary was behind schedule…As soon as he arrived at my place we set off towards our new kitchen!! Starting from the Palak paneers to the chopseuys, we had gone thru all the recipes and discarded each one by one…either cos the dish looked “less” exotic or we couldn’t make head or tail of the ingredients…finally the menu was ready >> “Chinese hakka noodles, tomato soup and sweet and sour veggie”>> now tat sounds good…

It was shopping time now…I made a list of the ingredients required…we pooled in money from each and me and sharan set off in the 4 stroke two wheeler of his…We walked in and out of the foul smelling markets…We checked the list one after the other still unsure on whether we will have use of nything tat we bought…we kept apart some money just in case our cooking dint turn out well!!! I know “just in case” was the height of optimism, but we remained positive nevertheless…Back at the kitchen…it was chopping time…With the blunt cook's knifes tat we could find…we started…Chopping them to indistinguishable, symmetrical, well proportioned, interchangeable pieces…The high precision chopping and thickness comparing took us some time…but we liked to be faultless…And to check tat we had rojesh…who just played the role of a sluggish overseer swapping positions from “in front of TV” playing PS2 to the chefs table!!! Oh I forgot the onions were cut by him!!!

It was lunchtime when we had finally finished dressing the vegetables…we now had to convert it into edible form!!! With silent prayers, and all ingredients in the near proximity; we started the ultimate experiment with our appetite!!! The aroma of sizzling ginger garlic paste filled the air and that got us motivated!! It was a good start we decided!! We emptied the plate of veggies into the welcoming frying pan!! Sharan was ready with the camera!! It was a special moment for us!! I don’t know whether it was the odor of cooking veggies or the camera that got rojesh out of his comfy couch and he was already ready posing to be caught on tape!! Memorizing all those artistic chefs; we tried to pull out a few stunts with the pan!! For a second we had the veggies swirling in air and then out of the pan…The browning of the vegetables and the blend of Soya and tomato sauces made the dish look at least like the pictures we had seen!!! This was pleasing!!!
The dish was ready!! Alongside we had the noodles cooking too!!! Now every tom dick n harry knows how tats done…so no elucidations…It was all hot and ready to be served…But served to whom?? LOLZ…we were the only souls around!! And we were ready to pounce upon the exotic “looking”, aroma generating dishes we had made!!!....Well the question is how it had tasted??...well…I have just one thing to say…All that starts well ends well!!!...now the doubt is “whether we had started well”???!!!
