Living The Afterglow !!~2~!!

6th June 6 PM

He was still visualizing himself in front of the Library; time had frozen for him; and whatever that had happened after that was his cataleptic mind at work…The virtual image of the “Angel” was flirting with his eyes!!! His left hand brushed thru his hair; which was messy as ever; while his right hand crumpled the bus ticket he was having!! The sole thought that bothered him the most was whether he will ever see her again!!

Finding it hard to keep her eyes open; struggling to keep her hair from unsettling against the winds; her mind was raising thru all the work that she had to do!!! The thought of the pages of scribbling that was to be done brought soreness to her wrist!! The ticket was safe in her hands; she was skimming through the numbers that made no sense; but yet grabbing her attention!! She always had a craze for numbers and for tickets!! “that would make the tally 73”; she told her mind!! Then came the Sneeze!!! And this time…Little did she know that the person who was thinking of her at this hour; was just a whisper from her!!!

Two rows separated two distinct individuals; poles apart in nature; total strangers; but destiny had different plans!!!...little were they aware of what TIME had in store for them!!!

9th September

Drops of the first rain were spattering against the umbrella that Ron was holding to keep his much loved white shirt from getting soaked…He was relishing the smell of the wet earth that was flooding his eager nostrils…He loved the smell of fresh earth!!! Making sure his precious swatch was covered by his full sleeves; he made his way thru the stony path to the deserted church that was flanked on one side by the mammoth, rusted church bell and on the other side was somewhat like a vertical cliff!!! He was so amused by the location of the church; that in spite of the warnings that he got about the spiritual insecure ness of the place; he always cherished visiting it from his childhood… The church always had something wrong about it; ever since he remembered… But the aesthetical beauty of the place kept him at home whenever he wished to be alone… His favorite seat atop the chest-shaped rock had the perfect picturesque view down the cliff into dimness!! He always imagined the weightlessness sensation that one would feel falling into total nothing!!!

Taking the deep left turn towards the cliff; his unconscious mind twisted his neck to the right and as always he had already visualized the lone red rose before even seeing it…There it was…On top of the unsoiled gravestone that read “In Loving Memory of Albert Locksley; 1923 to 1991” lay the striking deep red tinted rose that was silhouetting against the dull surroundings…The only signs of color amidst the pale dry leaves that filled the entire graveyard… He had seen the red rose as fresh and scent full as it was this day ever since he remembered!! He had read the name “Albert Locksley” a hundred times over and it had got so recognizable; that he had a picture of him carved in his mind… He was perplexed at the thought of who was so dear enough to Mr. Locksley to be taking the pain of coming time and again to place that token of love amidst the other forgotten souls…

He wished every time he would meet the only other visitor of the church; that person who had so smoothly escaped his eyes all the time…Just as this thought was getting wiped out; he saw a dazzling red dyed scarf waving in the distance…The thought of seeing such a sign of life bewildered Ron for a moment or two; and by the time he had got over it; the scarf was gone…He ran over the quiescent souls; hopping past the tombstones; to the rear side of the church from where he had seen the scarf fade away…He scrutinized all directions but there was no sign of even a leaf moving; the topography seemed undisturbed!!! He proclaimed that his Wild mind's eye was playing tricks with his vision…But somewhere in his heart he knew he might have just got a glimpse of the very person he was craving to meet for a long time…he desired he had been a bit more swift in making his voyage to the church…He just wished that ultimately someday he will meet this very esteemed stranger; who was so closely linked to him by an imperceptible yet so prominent twine; a twine made by destiny!!!
