Living The Aftreglow !!~3~!!

11th November

The mood was upbeat; everyone seemed so animated; human trains being formed; the pulsating cheers swamped the auditorium…the stage appeared astounding; the podium was so well garlanded; the ramp that hilled down to the spectators was ruby carpeted and the entire arrangement seemed to be a cut out from the Oscars…The words “Alegría más fest” were engraved in the most fashionable style in the huge section of lumber that stretched the length of the dais…The complete ambiance depicted the theme so perfectly …On the east side of the stage positioned the flight of stairs that lead from the “Green room”…Down those stairs came Miss Garner with the list that she was carrying…She looked all worn-out due to the day’s toil…Overloaded with the organization duties and the announcement task sure had made her lose a few kilo’s…Muffled by the jungle of echoes, Ron could not make head or tail of what was being announced…he was getting already uninterested with the particular segment of competition taking place…He never had an interest for classical songs…he liked more of the rock n Roll…

All bored and subdued he turned and pushed his way through the crowd…It seemed unfeasible to make his way out of this swarm…pushing and pulling and again pushing he slowly managed to exit the scene of utter chaos and havoc…Just as he was passing the limits of perception of the intense watt rated speakers…he heard something that made him freeze…Without giving it a rethought he scampered back to the very place he had so painfully flee from…On the center of the stage he saw something familiar waving…Before he could perceive what it was…his vision was blinded by the jumping and exhilarating bodies in front of him…He lost hope of getting anywhere close to his prior well-located, in close proximity to the stage, seat that he had so tactlessly vacated…Cursing himself, jumping occasionally to get a glimpse of who it was, he listened to the sweet, seductive, emotion flooding voice...For the first time ever, he had been flabbergasted by a song other than the hard rock that he was so fond of…The sounds of the guitars seemed so unexciting compared to this sweet song for him...He never imagined himself appreciating something other than the Rammsteins, Metallica’s, kutlees and the other god’s of hard rock…but the unimaginable always happened with him…he always had bizarre things associating to him…A scruffy guy, always interested in being in crowds, being the centre of attraction, out of the blue started hanging out unaccompanied in desolate places…Time had a lot of surprises for him all the time…

As the echoes of applause were dampening, Ron was still rooted in a spellbound state…”And that was Miss Renita Locksley with her melodious voice for u” announced miss Garner…that slapped Ron rock hard…Locksley…That was what that made him freeze…That was the name that got him interested…He pushed his way through the crowd hysterically…and he managed to get just about the smallest angle of view that was achievable …She was exiting the stage…he could see her long, gleaming smooth, left open hair waving alongside the very familiar red scarf…The ordinary scarf, looked so inimitably unique for him…It had been a sign of hope, a hope of meeting that so familiar yet so mysterious person who had been so indiscernibly allied to him… It was the moment of truth…the nick of time that Ron had longed for so long was finally forging in front of his eyes … he was calling the entire God’s and Demi God’s to make her to turn around, and as if in reply to his prayers she turned…Amidst the fading echoes, one word resonated higher than any other…Unintentionally and involuntarily Ron leaped and tripped as he shrieked “Angel”…The next thing he realizes is that he was in the centre of embarrassment!!! Lying flat on the ground, his knee bleeding and stares of irony all around him…Feeling totally mortified, with a shy smile, he slowly pulled himself up!! He looked up at the stage with a feel of indignity teeming on his face; to find a very sweet smile flashing at him…If smiles were graded in flowers, she was the spring among all…The contact of the eyes remained only for a jiff, with a slight shake of her head, her hair wobbling along; and still beaming she left the stage…Ron couldn’t believe what was happening…It all appeared a dream, it was as if he was living a fairytale… Two characters that had so invisibly absorbed him in distinct ways turned out to be one and the same…He found it hard to digest the fact that Destiny had played a weird and wonderful game with him…
